Who we insure
Insurance for Home Health Care Agencies
Your clinicians work alone in patients' homes, drive between visits and handle protected health information on mobile devices. Your insurance should be built for exactly that.
This page is for
- Medicare-certified home health agencies
- Private-duty and private-pay skilled nursing
- Infusion and specialty nursing
- Pediatric home health
- Agencies that also run a home care or hospice line
Your risks
The risks we plan around
Clinical errors in the home
Medication errors, missed assessments and wound-care complications without a physician or second nurse on site.
Staff injuries
Patient transfers in cramped homes, needlesticks, dog bites and slips on icy driveways drive workers' comp claims.
Driving between visits
Clinicians drive many miles a week in their own cars, so serious accidents can reach the agency.
Patient data on the road
Laptops and phones with EMR access are easy to lose and attractive to thieves.
Allegations involving vulnerable patients
Abuse or theft allegations are often excluded from standard liability policies.

FAQ
Home Health insurance questions
Do Medicare-certified agencies have special insurance requirements?
CMS conditions of participation don't set specific limits, but your state license, managed-care contracts and hospital referral partners usually do. We review those contracts and set limits to match.
Are our nurses covered when they drive their own cars?
Their personal auto policy pays first. Hired & non-owned auto protects the agency if a claim exceeds their limits or their insurer denies business use.
How do we lower our workers' comp cost?
Accurate class codes, a reviewed experience mod, safe-lifting training and prompt return-to-work programs. We help with all four.
